TotaLife is a non-profit association registered in Avellino by notary Nicola Piroli on 12th December, 2012. It was officially acknowledged as a non-profit social organization (ONLUS) by the Naples branch of the Italian Inland Revenue with decree No.13490 on 4th March, 2013 and is registered under No.15091 in the list of charity organizations.
TotaLife: the etymological meaning comes from the two English words Total and Life, hence Total Life/Life Lived In Full. The fusion of the two Ls creates a new word that sounds like TotaLife, but also means “life of Antonia” (Tota for friends and family). To us, such ambivalence of meaning is very important in order to convey what we think TotaLife should represent: on the one hand we do not want to forget those who lived a full and complete life, firmly believing that life is always beautiful and that beauty should be brought to those who are less fortunate, while – on the other hand – we are convinced that all friends who are or will be part of the Association will be happy to give their contribution to the solution of hygiene and medical care problems that have always scourged so-called third world countries, with special attention towards motherhood and childhood issues.
TotaLife counts 104 members to date, with a marked presence of doctors, pharmacists and university students from various Italian regions, particularly from Campania.
The participation and enthusiasm of those who are willing to join in the realization of the projects will be essential for TotaLife Onlus. Everyone can give their contribution in the form and manner they will deem most appropriate.
